In Japan, this type of pancake is called "Taiyaki" and has been popular for a long time. The most common way to cook taiyaki is to put anko (sweet bean paste) inside. But it can be also used whipped cream, chocolate, or anything else to make original taiyaki. Since the taiyaki makes use of Nambu ironware, taiyaki will be crispy on the outside and fluffy and delicious on the inside.
