What is Mizuhiki?

Mizuhiki is a decorative string that is attached to Gift envelopes and gifts. It is considered very auspicious in Japan, as it has the meaning of repelling evil spirits, and connecting people to each other and to their families.

Chopstick Rests : The strings are not waterproofed, so if they get dirty, wipe them with a cloth or paper and continue to use them.
